Arts/Education Programs
The Carlsen Center at Johnson
County Community College (JCCC) offer many programs at the Paola community
center thanks to a grant from The Baehr Foundation. These are programs
that strive to engage, explore inspire. They have introduced world
cultures to the community with 42 companies/artists of African,
Hispanic, Asian and European cultures.
The Carlsen Center has been a proven leader as community
Arts Education Resource in the area and they have been rated excellent
of very good on 95 percent of teacher and parent surveys for "quality of
artists." These artists inspire young minds to make connections with
what they are learning about history, culture, language, science,
technology and the arts. Artist are available for the following learning
opportunities:
